Russian people condole with Japanese


  From the first days of the Japan tragedy Russian people brought flowers to the consulate of Japan. According to employees of the consulate, citizens of Primorsky Krai responded to the tragedy of their neighbors. People offer help and express their condolences. Students of international faculties do everything to support Japanese students. They plan to place stands for any interested person could write some words to Japanese.
  Citizens of Vladivostok brought hundreds of paper cranes to the Consulate general of Japan to condole with victims of earthquake and tsunami which had occurred. According to initiators of the action, a group of students FEFU (Far East Federal University) they wished to help families of the lost people, even in immaterial way and simply having
expressed the feelings. It took almost a week to make paper cranes. Some people came to consulate of Japan together with small children. They say that if collect one thousand of cranes, the desire will come true. In this case, young men wish that tragical events have ended as soon as it is possible.
  People still bring flowers and letters with condolences to the Consulate every day. Representatives of the Japanese party thank inhabitants of Primorsky Krai for support and sympathy.
  On March, 25th, at 8 p.m. students are going to come at the square opposite to the front entrance of the FEFU building to light candles and honor victims and missing people with the silence minute. Besides, in all universities of the city special [memory stands] will be placed.


Yachtsmen from Vladivostok will try the wind of Sakaiminato

  A meeting between the commodore of the yacht-club Michael Ermakov and representatives of Japanese "Support center of Russian business" Naruto Mijakoda and Sindzi Saeda passed at the yacht-club "Seven Foots".
  During the meeting participants discussed the possibility of a cultural-introductory exchange between yacht-club "Seven foots" and Japanese yacht-club of Sakaiminato. Such initiative will give the chance to young yachtsmen from both countries not only to take part in foreign regattas, but also to get acquainted with culture and traditions of other country more closely.
